To get a Florida learner’s permit, the driver must be at least 15 years old, complete the TLSAE, and provide a parental consent form if under 18. The driver must also pass a vision and hearing test and then complete the permit exam.
During the first three months after obtaining your learner’s permit, drivers are only allowed to drive during daylight hours. After this, the hours change to 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. At all times, the driver must be accompanied by a licensed driver over the age of 21.
